JOB SUMMARY/PURPOSE:

Primary duty is to provide superior customer service: everyone should be made to feel welcome at FGCC facilities; scan customer card to determine name and call customer by name; personalize conversation with each customer. Observe Club’s safety rules and regulations. Perform other duties as needed with understanding that the primary job is to exceed customer expectations. Promote All FGCC facilities in a positive and professional manor. Negative comments about other facilities are unacceptable.

PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Every member and guest should be met with a smile and a greeting and made to feel welcome at Fairfield Glade.
2. Check in members and guests for golf play after confirming times and course.
3. Advise guests regarding attire, golf clubs, supplies and rules and regulations.
4. Collect and record green fees and issue receipts.
5. Promote the sale of merchandise and additional tokens and golf balls with every transaction.
6. Record all sales transactions.
7. Assist customers with merchandise selections.
8. Keep shop neat and clean and maintain a professional appearance.
9. Balance tee sheets against the register and record ‘no shows’.
10. Answer phones with proper etiquette and field questions from callers/golfers.
11. Maintain billing charges of members and guests; submit billing charges to Accounting Department in a timely manner.
12. Assist in packing and unpacking inventory.

MINIMUM EDUCATION:

High School Diploma or GED

EXPERIENCE:

Customer service preferred, retail helpful, knowledge of golf beneficial.

COMPUTER SKILLS:

Computer literate. Point-of sale helpful.

EQUIPMENT USED:

Computer, telephone, general office/store supplies

WORKING ENVIRONMENT:

Inside sales and customer service environment.

Able to work with little supervision at times.

COMMUNICATION REQUIREMENTS:

Active listening skills and ability to articulate information both verbally and in writing. Ability to handle difficult customers.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

Normal speech, hearing, and vision, lifting of 25 pounds (more with assistance)

SAFETY:

Follow all FGCC safety programs, safety guidelines, policies and procedures. Wear, use and enforce all FGCC personal protection equipment (PPE) as needed on specific jobs and tasks.

Be aware of chemical safety and be familiar with all pertinent Safety Data Sheets (SDS) of chemicals which are used in the workplace.

Follow all FGCC safety rules including all local, state and federal regulations as they pertain to work at FGCC.

OTHER REQUIREMENTS:

Ability to work on several tasks simultaneously; maintain composure when dealing with stressful situations; absolute confidentiality required.
